We need Kamala in the White House to tackle climate change and continue our transition to clean energy. Here’s a snapshot of the Administration’s accomplishments to date:

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)

In 2022, the Biden-Harris Administration passed the most significant investment in reducing carbon emissions in American history. The IRA includes $369 billion in investments for clean energy and climate change mitigation over the next decade, and aims to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 40% by 2030.

Rejoining the Paris Agreement

On their first day in office, the Administration signed an executive order for the United States to rejoin the Paris Agreement, reestablishing the US as a global leader in the fight against climate change and committing to significant emissions reductions.

Protecting public lands and waters

The Administration’s America the Beautiful initiative aims to conserve 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030. That’s 26 million acres of public lands. To make that happen, the White House is providing an unprecedented level of funding for conservation.

Promoting electric vehicles

The Administration has set ambitious goals to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the United States, including increased tax credits for EV purchases, investing in the construction of a nationwide network of 500,000 EV charging stations by 2030, and making half of all new vehicle sales electric by 2030.

Launching the American Climate Corps

In 2023, the Administration announced the formation of the American Climate Corps. The program will mobilize a new, diverse generation of more than 20,000 Americans by 2025 – putting them to work conserving and restoring our lands and waters, and helping us transition to a clean energy economy.

Advancing environmental justice

The Administration established the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council and initiated the Justice40 initiative, directing 40% of the benefits from federal investments in climate and clean energy to disadvantaged communities, addressing long-standing environmental inequities.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

Despite a highly polarized political climate, the Administration passed this major legislation which allocates significant funding for modernizing and making our infrastructure more sustainable. It includes $65 billion for clean energy transmission and grid improvements, $50 billion for climate resilience projects, and substantial investments in electric vehicle infrastructure and public transit.

Restoring environmental regulations

The Biden-Harris Administration reinstated many environmental regulations that were rolled back by the previous administration, including fuel economy standards, emissions standards for power plants, and protections for waterways and wetlands.
